माही, हाँ यही नाम है उस लड़की का जिससे पहली मोहब्बत हुई। तीन साल पहले की बात है। मैं और माही एक ही कम्पनी में काम करते थे। मैं वहां लेखक के रूप में था और वो सॉफ्टवेयर वाले डिपार्टमेंट में काम करती थी। किसी बहाने बातचीत शुरू हुई तो मैंने एक दिन माही को कॉफ़ी के लिए पूछा तो उसने हाँ कर दिया। लेखक तो मैं था ही, तो माही को मेरी बातें पसंद आने लगी। यक़ीन मानिए कुदरत का एक नायाब तौफ़ा थी वो। एक साल ऐसे ही मिलना-झूलना चलता रहा। वैलेंटाइन नज़दीक था तो मैंने मन बना रखा था कि माही को प्रोपोज़ करूंगा। और मैंने ऐसे ही किया। माही ने भी बिना समय लिए हाँ कर दी। न ही माही के घरवाले उसके साथ रहते थे और मेरे तो माँ बाप तो बचपन में ही मेरा साथ छोड़ गए थे। तो कुछ समय बाद माही और मैंने निर्णय लिया कि हम दोनों साथ रहेंगे जब तक शादी नहीं कर लेते। शहर से थोड़ी ही दूर हमने एक बगीचे वाला घर ले लिया। एक गांव ही था वो जो शहर से डेढ़ घंटा दुरी पे था। मुझे घर बैठे काम मिलना शुरू हो गया तो में घर ही रहता था और माही ऑफिस जाती थी। गांव से बस जाती थी एक जो सुबह माही को छोड़ती शहर और माही आती भी उसी से थी। ज़िन्दगी बहुत सा

ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਓ ਗੱਲ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਯਾਦ ਹੈ, ਜੇੜੀ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਤੂੰ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਕਹੀ ਸੀ। ਤੇਰੇ ਦਿਤੇ ਓਨਾ ਸਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਹੂਕਾਰ ਹਾਂ , ਜੇੜਾ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਨੂ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਪਾ ਤੁਰ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸਰਦੀ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਠੰਡੇ ਅੱਥਰੂ, ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਚ ਸਮੇਟੇ ਨੇ ਮੈ, ਜੇੜੇ ਤੂੰ ਲੈਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਤੇਰੀ ਇਕ ਚੁੰਨੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਪਈ ਹੈ, ਸੀਪੀਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ, ਜਿੰਨੂ ਓੜ ਮੈ ਸਰਾਣੇ, ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸੋਇਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।   ਉਹ ਹੰਜੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਗਦੀ ਹਨੇਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਦੋ ਤੂੰ ਵਿਛੋੜਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਮੁੜਕੇ ਇਕ ਵਾਰ ਵੇਖ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਹਨੇਰੀ ਹਵਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਣੀ ਸੀ। ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ ਸਾਂਭੇ ਨੇ ਮੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਿਠੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਟੋਟੇ, ਜਿੰਨਾ ਜੋੜਦਾ, ਓਨਾ ਫਟਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਨੇ। ਤੈਨੂੰ ਟੁਟਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਮੈ ਟੁਟਿਆ ਜਰੂਰ ਸੀ, ਵੱਸ ਨੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਚਲਿਆ ਕਿਓਂਕਿ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਓਹੀ ਮੰਜੂਰ ਸੀ। ਲੋਕੀ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ, ਸਮਾਂ ਬੀਤਣ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ, ਮੈ ਸਮਾਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਏਹੀ ਇਕ ਹੱਲ ਹੈ।
